Early-bird registration opens for ninth annual investor conference

Corvallis, Ore. — Eric Breon, founder and CEO of Vacasa, the second largest U.S. technology-enabled vacation rental company, will be the featured speaker at the 9th annual Willamette Angel Conference (WAC). In a conversational format, Breon will discuss the origins of Vacasa, its recent, rapid growth, as well as his personal advice for entrepreneurs.

“We are thrilled to announce Eric’s involvement in this year’s Conference,” said WAC LLC fund manager Marc Manley. “Vacasa is turning into a rocket ship of a company. I predict that within a few years we’ll look back and feel incredibly lucky to have had this opportunity with Eric.”

Vacasa offers vacation rental owners a full-service management service, including maintenance, housekeeping, pricing technology and insurance. Breon launched Vacasa along with Cofounder Cliff Johnson in Portland in November 2009, after taking over the management of a family member’s vacation home. Since then, Vacasa has grown from two to 1,400 employees, with close to 80% year-over-year revenue growth. Vacasa currently manages more than 5,100 properties across the U.S.; Europe; Central and South America. Breon has a background in venture capital and analytics. He was named 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network.

“I’ve benefited from Oregon’s entrepreneurial ecosystem over the years, so it’s nice to be invited to speak with entrepreneurs and investors down in the Southern Willamette Valley and give-back by sharing my entrepreneurial journey. One of the things I love about having Vacasa headquartered in Oregon is how willing we all are to help each other. We have a great entrepreneurial culture here,” stated Eric Breon.

The conference organizers are encouraging those planning on attending the conference to tweet questions for Eric to the conference’s Twitter account @WillametteAngel and use the hashtag #AskVacasaCEO.

Registration is now open for the 2017 WAC, which will be held Thursday, May 11 at the Whiteside Theater in Corvallis. For more information, including tickets, please visit www.willametteconference.com.
